Recognizing Excellence

PCCA’s Canadian Compounding Pharmacist of the Year award is presented annually to an independent compounding pharmacist who has demonstrated service excellence to patients, health care providers and pharmacy colleagues. The individual who receives this award epitomizes our commitment as pharmacists to meeting patient needs and upholding the highest quality and ethical standards.

The PCCA Canadian Pharmacist of the Year is an ambassador for compounding pharmacy, as he/she engages in:

  • Safety and compounding best practices employed according to NAPRA standards
  • The highest ethical standards
  • Involvement with their provincial pharmacy association, college of pharmacy or other pharmacy organizations
  • Continued learning, including participating in PCCA education events
  • Innovations in the field
  • Positive physician and patient relationships, as well as community relationships
  • Networking with PCCA member colleagues
